Lydea R. Irwin – Of Counsel

Lydea R. Irwin

is a graduate of the JD/MBA program at the University of New Hampshire School of Law, and a registered patent attorney. Before joining Ascentage Law, Lydea had the privilege of working with the Executive Director of the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Charlestown, Massachusetts. She was also an intern at the New Hampshire Bureau of Securities Regulation, where she assisted on many regulatory actions protecting the investing public of New Hampshire. Prior to starting her legal career, Lydea was a research scientist in the fields of neuroscience and immunology. She worked at Rhode Island Hospital as a research assistant looking into the effects of sepsis and shock on Natural Killer T-cells in both humans and mice. While getting her bachelors, she worked in a lab that conducted research into effects of the AHI1 gene on the neural systems of zebrafish and mice. Lydea is developing areas of expertise in support of new businesses. Focusing on intellectual property protection, including patents, trademarks, copyright, and trade secrets, securities offerings, HIPAA security, and corporate compliance.
